When my Isaiah is showing signs of colds, I always first try the basics like drops of Salinase to clean his nose and our ever realiable Nebulizer with NSS of Duavent to ease his breathing. What I like about my Pedia is not much into medicine when it comes to my 1 and 6 months old son. Unlike my previous pedia where my son was months younger then, she always prescribes congestant pediatric medicine for my son but as a mom, I dont usually for her prescription. Calamansi and double dosage of Vit. C will do to cure colds of my son.

Most babies are not friends with Nebulizer, since they think its part of their fear with hospitals (yes, my niece and nephews do that) but for my son, to encourage him to do his nebulizer, Ill show him the excitement and will tell him to eat the tubes. Well. atleast thats a good start and it worked for me.
